September 11, 2001

Life has been busy again, sicknesses and other medical maladies again lately…. but I don’t really want to get into it right now. It FINALLY appears that there is a light at the end of this "seemingly neverending" tunnel.

Today I have been thinking of the events of the day of September 11, 2001. I was sitting at my desk at a relatively new job (just under a year) and my boss was in California with his family at Disneyland. I was listening to the radio and heard the broadcasts. When I went home later that day I watched the events unfold on the television. I was shocked, scared, and sad for all involved and for our country as a whole. As an Army Brat who went to high school in Germany during the Gulf War I was no stranger to threats from “scary folks”, but this was different, it was a direct attack on our HOMELAND. I remember feeling just this awful dark feeling in my heart and the pit of my stomach.

Today, let us remember all those who perished and those who lived and the families of both. Let’s pray for hope of healing for these individuals and thier families and honor and remember those who did the unimaginable and gave their lives to save the lives of many others.

Hi Erin, glad to see you are posting again. Great tribute to 9/11. I was surprised at how little there was on the news today.

I love your tribute, Erin, and am glad to hear you're seeing a glimmer of light at the end of your tunnel. Hectic sometimes, isn't it??
